Let's see, this Friday I'm heading to the Dells form my brothers high school graduation on that same day and the ensuing party on Saturday. Sunday I shall be going on a third date, although I think we're actually going out now, so the date counting can stop already.

Do you like the Dells?

I actually haven't been there in, gosh, 15 years, outside of a short trip two years ago where I didn't do anything but move my mom and brother into their new place at 8 in the evening. I remember liking it a lot when I went as a young lad though. Not sure if that helps?

I went to Devil's Lake last week which is just outside of the Dells.  We passed through there, and it was packed with tourists and things like massive indoor water parks and mini-golf.  Reminded me of Pigeon Forge, TN.

Oh yeah, the two are very similar, except I think Dells has more of a focus on gambling. I can't remember, does Pigeon Forge have the casino/water parks or not?

I don't think TN has gambling, and I think there is an indoor water park, but the main draw of Pigeon Forge is Dollywood.

Hmmm, I must be thinking of somewhere else in TN then. I know I went to a place in TN that has indoor water parks as well as rides and such just like the Dells, but that was when I was about 7, so I could just be misremembering the whole experience.  :)

It probably was Pigeon Forge, I pass through there every time I go to the Smoky Mountains.  To me, the Dells seemed very similar.

You're probably right, I know my Grandpa and I took the same route every time we would visit North Carolina and that meant going through TN. I still have a picture of my Grandpa and I on one of those ski lift type carriages that was operating on the side of a mountain in TN, that may have been Pigeon Forge.

Change of plans, instead of Columbia River Gorge, we are now going to Mount St. Helens and Mount Rainier, plus, my boyfriend booked us a room at the historic Paradise Inn.
