Headed to Cincy for the weekend.

Don't forget to stop by Fair Oaks Farms on the way to get some cheese.

Depeche Mode -

In high school and college, the Big 3 for me were Depeche Mode, Erasure, and New Order. Then later New Order got replaced with Pet Shop Boys. I never went to concerts in high school or college, so I never saw any of these acts live. In the years since college, I've seen Erasure 3 or 4 times and Pet Shop Boys twice. I've never seen Depeche Mode. I wish I enjoyed their latest album as much as others, but I'm still excited to see the concert. That's all to say, that I feel like I'm completing my own, personal Cycle of 80s. If I wanted to be a true completest, I would search out New Order, but I just don't like anything they've turned out since "Regret."

The Get Ready album I liked a lot but the last one wasn't that great.  They just split up.  Bernard Sumner & Stephen Morris formed one band while Peter Hook formed another called Freebass.

Depeche Mode is still kicking ass live.  I like their new album.  Not as good as the last one but still better than a lot of the music from the acts that came out of the 1980s.
