Going to surprise my friend for her brithday.

I hope she hasn't joined the forum without telling me.
I actually consider a lot of movies to be life-changing! I take them to my heart and they melt into my personality.

This has less to do with my weekend but with the kind of weekend it will be for football fans across the country.

Yes, it's the last weekend of November which, if you enjoy going outside without a shirt while it's about 0 degrees celsius, can only mean one thing: Grey Cup weekend.

I'm far from being the biggest CFL fan out there in fact. Still, there is something special about the final game of the year and the weekend during which it takes place. Having the privilege of living in the city that hosted the event last year, I can only imagine the electricity that must be in the air right now in Calgary. Last year there were festivities starting on Thursday in the downtown area (specifically in the Grey Cup village) which lasted until Sunday night. It was really well organized and a lot of fun. I hope football fans in Calgary are having a blast this weekend.

As much as I love the Super Bowl (and the lord knows I love it a lot) there is something a little more 'fan friendly' about the Grey Cup. Whether you're a curious observer, a neutral fan because maybe your team didn't make it this far, or your favourite club is days away from potential glory, I wish you a very merry Grey Cup game.

Go Alouettes go!

-James Bond: A little. But I won't consider myself to be in trouble until I start weeping blood.

Friday Afternoon: I got my placement for student teaching next quarter; apparently I got a good one because that's what people are telling me.

Friday Evening: Drove up to Columbus where I stayed at a friends house with 7 other people who were going to the Pitt game.

Saturday Morning: Woke up at 630am and left for Pittsburgh at 700am. On the way there it began to snow and we saw three SUVs on the way there that had flipped. We also saw numerous other minor crashes that had taken place. We then hit traffic outside of Pittsburgh and didn't get to the game until 1130am. And on the way to the game 3 Pitt fans thought it would be a good idea to instigate a tussle with our group of 8 college aged guys. We tried with all our might to diffuse the situation but these guys had it out for us for some reason. It probably didn't help that one of my friends was holding a sign that said "Pitt blows and so do the Steelers," but what they did was uncalled for. One guy took two of our three signs and tore them up and threw them down and into the street. Luckily it didn't get worse, though I could have seen it going there.

Saturday Afternoon: Best. Game. I. Have. Ever. Seen. This was so intense, I don't remember what all happened it is such a blur of excitement and elation at this point.

Saturday Evening: Drive back to Columbus. Took 30 minutes just to get out of the parking garage. Got back in Columbus at 800pm where we had pizza at my parents house. Then crashed a friends company Christmas party for like 20 minutes before heading back down to Cincinnati.

Saturday Night: Arrive in Cincinnati at Midnight and hang out at a friends new house they just built for a housewarming/cookie/birthday party. Included a sleepover where we stayed up until 330am in the morning.

Sunday: Woke up at 830am, hung out at friends house, went to lunch/mall with friends.

Now time to recover, because it was action packed and a whole lot of fun.
