Sounds like a great road trip!  Pics from the game perhaps???

...our server was super nice. And she kept calling us "hun" or "dear" which added to the charm of the experience...

The older I get, the more I like that...Of course, the older I get the fewer people say that to me...

Went to P.F. Changs for lunch. Man, that place is AWESOME. Between the three of us we got 4 dishes, an appetizer and 3 beers, and the bill was only like 70 bux. For the quality it seemed like a great value. Again, super nice server (and cute).

I like it too.  Hmmm....might have to hit that place for lunch today!

Picked up some Sierra Nevada beer on the way back from the game, to go with the Cinnabon's I bought earlier at the mall. (yum). Watched about 2 minutes of that movie with Cameron Diaz, Jack Black, Kate Winslet and Jude Law on tv before calling it a night.

2 minutes was about all I could stand of that movie as well.  I believe it was called "Forgettable Valentine's Day Release", but I can't be certain...

Stopped at a great diner-style Denny's just outside Minneapolis for breakfast. Beat the hell out of IHOP.[/li][/list]

For some reason going out for breakfast is always the coolest.  We only do that when on a vacation, so it always seems extra good.  IHOP is too friggin expensive. $8 omelette!??

Alas, the bike didn't come with pedals. I knew it wouldn't (seems like most higher-end bikes don't), but I assumed I could pick some up locally. Unfortunately, before going to buy some I made the mistake of researching what is and is not a good pedal, and now I HAVE to have pedal xyz that nobody around here carries. ::)

I ordered them from amazon yesterday, but they'll take a torturously long time to get here. :(

I'll spend the next 2 weeks Flintstoning the bike around my living room. ;)

Sounds like a fun trip, 'Noff. Bummer about the pedals.

It's my own fault. What you don't know can't hurt you (or your wallet). ;)

Recap of trip to Minneapolis this weekend:
  • Picked up some Sierra Nevada beer on the way back from the game,

I think your trip is worth it for this... I miss Sierra Nevada, I went to their brewery in Chico, Ca once and they had about 20 beers they brewed but you can only ever find 1 or 2 in the stores.  I think the first thing I do when I travel back the US in 2 months is pick up a 6 pack...

I like that, I think I will follow your example.
