Midland has my favorite airport.  Have a Gold Brick at Wall Street for me

Ever been to KD's BBQ?  We had it when we were passing through Midland a few years back.  It was delicious.

Yes, I've had it; but I'm from central Texas where they understand barbeque can be smoked with wood other than mesquite, so I'm more a central Texas bbq lover.  A really good bbq chain which is popping up all over the country is Rudy's BBQ.  If you see it, try that.  It's on lots of interstates near cities.  Rudy's started in Leon Springs, outside San Antonio, then it was bought out and franchised.  It's typical of central Texas bbq (though not the very, very best, but excellent for a chain).

(Aren't you glad you asked?  :D )

Yea, Rudy's is good stuff. We actually ship their sauce to my uncle who now lives in Ohio.  ;D
