How could I forget Fight Club?

Few films are quite as entertaining while being insightful as well. I'm in the minority when I say this is Fincher's first great work but I really believe this is the first time he gets his hands on some good source material that melds well with his style. The quirky visual effects and dark sense of humor fit Fincher's hands like a glove. And besides, this film has something that speaks very much to the 90's as an anti consumerism tale.

i've never seen one of these two-handed gloves of which you speak.

just wondering, on the anti-consumeristness of it: is that a 90s idea?  did that actually have any traction in the 90s?  moreso than now?

without revisiting it, i reckon Fight Club would be in my Top 10 for resurrection.

i need to lobby for something other than Safe pretty soon
But I wish the public could, in the midst of its pleasures, see how blatantly it is being spoon-fed, and ask for slightly better dreams.

They are pretty awesome. And are only custom made for David Fincher.  ;)

I still really, really don't understand all of the love for Safe.  I will stand behind my opinion that it is nothing special and that there are far more worthy films to resurrect.  I might even make a case for some of them later.

I think it's a real love it or hate it.

Hoop Dreams absolutely needs to be resurrected and I agree with roujin's citing of pix's review.  If I could save only one movie it would be this one, if for no other reason than I think there are a lot of people who haven't seen it and they really need to.

I'd also say that one of the Toy Story films needs to be resurrected.  I'm more partial to the first but I know many prefer 2 and I'd really like for at least one of them to move on (seriously, Pixar's gotta be represented deep in this bracket).

And of course I think South Park should be back because I thought Junior was waaaay off the mark in his verdict.

I agree with all of this. Especially about that South Park review.
