Yeah, I've heard good things (I've also heard it's not what the AMPAS goes for).

It probably has a better shot than the Gordon Chan film.  :)

I hope The Class gets nominated.  After all, it did win this year's Palme D'or.  I'm also rooting for Waltz with Bashir.

Bashir is good and is likely the favorite, though France's The Class won Cannes.  I saw The Rest Is Silence and the Academy might go for it, but I missed Gomorra which should get nominated.  I also have heard good things about the Majid Majidi film (from Iran).

The two I most want to see (and missed at Vancouver): Turkey's 3 Monkeys and Kazakhstan's Tulpan.  I'd be surprised if either got nominated.

Gordon Chan is overdue for an Oscar.

I have seen Gomorra & the Class. The Class would win out of those two. I thought Hunger might be on the list.

I've only seen Rooster's Breakfast from Slovenia. It is quite charming, but probably too much of a lightweigth for the Academy.

Judging from hype, I'd put money on The Class, Gomorrah and Three Monkeys being nominated.

Waltz with Bashir is good, and I would also expect a nomination, but I don't know that it deserves to win.

I Am From Titov Veles bored me and made seemingly no sense. But who knows. Maybe I just didn't get it.
