I can't remember if any of these where in the list initially, and I don't see them in the list of 200, however...

Scream
From Dusk til Dawn
Dead Alive/Braindead
Event Horizon
Jacob's Ladder
The Frightners
Blair Witch Project

US bracket

I second True Lies. And what about Demolition Man ???

are you seconding DM or asking why i think it is interesting?  i probably haven't done it since release, but i always think futuristic films are interesting - toss prison, corporate culture, non-violence, and sandra bullock on top and it has to be worthwhile, right?
But I wish the public could, in the midst of its pleasures, see how blatantly it is being spoon-fed, and ask for slightly better dreams.

oops. didn't realize it was firsted. Yeah I totally second it. I watched it a lot when I was young, and maybe once every couple years since then. I used to enjoy all the action and what not (which still holds up very well) but now more than ever I enjoy the imagination and Sly's really humorous performance!

I consider The Frighteners to be a US film.

I consider Last Action Hero to be a totally unfairly maligned film that is ripe for critical reappraisal, especially since Shane Black is fashionable again after Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Who do I lobby?

Also, Vietnam Long Time Coming is probably only available through Kartemquin films or PBS and i'm not sure it ever had a theatrical release. Does that matter?

WorldCat shows the DVD at 117 libraries worldwide, so it should be fine.

I would like to nominate Gregg Araki's Nowhere, one of the best films I have ever seen.
