I would like to nominate Gregg Araki's Nowhere, one of the best films I have ever seen.

did my araki post get lost in the tubes (or is it merely in another thread)?  i suggested The Doom Generation and then his trilogy.  i've actually not done Nowhere - that good, eh?  excited to check it :)  been ages (since releases?) since i've done the others
But I wish the public could, in the midst of its pleasures, see how blatantly it is being spoon-fed, and ask for slightly better dreams.

I saw Doom Generation many years ago and didn't like it all but then I loved Mysterious Skin so maybe I should check him out again.

I consider Last Action Hero to be a totally unfairly maligned film that is ripe for critical reappraisal, especially since Shane Black is fashionable again after Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Who do I lobby?

You've got my vote.  I've always liked that movie.

Gregg Araki sucks.

Me, too. The best part was Ian McKellen as Death from The Seventh Seal. That was great.

I've seen Nowhere and The Doom Generation.

The difference is that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a million times better than anyone in any other Araki movie.
