Hrmm, I have Rublev as a 1969 film.  Looks like it had a limited Soviet release in Dec. '66 and didn't play anywhere else until Cannes in '69.

I've seen it listed as 1966 quite often....

Yeah, I've always seen it as a '69 film. Whatever, I'll keep it as a '69 film anyway. It's better than Easy Rider (the only film I've seen from this year) anyway.

Wikipedia indicates that it had one single screening in Moscow in '66.  Then was cut when it premiered at Cannes.

I'll probably move it to '66 when I have time.  It might be #1.

Other worthy titles:
The Pornographers
Black Girl
Either of these would make me reconsider my choice of The Battle of Algiers.

Vote changed to favor the donkey.

God, this is hard. So many of my favorites, including Seconds, which really deserves more attention. But really, it's a toss-up between the donkey, and the incredible use of horses for dramatic effect.

I apologize. I hadn't voted in this one yet.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
-Le Chiffre: You changed your shirt, Mr Bond. I hope our little game isn't causing you to perspire.

-James Bond: A little. But I won't consider myself to be in trouble until I start weeping blood.

Haven't seen a number of these, but from what I've seen, A Man for All Seasons.
