I remember it being one of my favorite films of 2004. It's a shame the director hasn't been up to much since.

Indeed, a very overlooked film. I don't think the film is anything amazing (B+ for me), but Sean Penn in it is just amazing. One of the top 5 performances of the decade, IMO.

Haven't seen it since it first came out.
Remember really liking it at the time. It's due a revisit I think.
