We might want to get a touch further than we are right now, but at least at the quarter-finals, it might be useful to schedule the matchups and basically have an all-comers approach, with the stipulation that they rewatch (well, once for the bracket, not for subsequent rounds for the winners). It'd just need enough lead time and spacing so that people weren't just overwhelmed.

Otherwise, any approach that gets me into the two films I haven't seen that are left would be preferred by me.

I have no suggestions but would be happy to take a match-up once a plan is hatched.

90 Far East seems to be picking up. I think we can get more people to come in and finish this up.

Any enthusiasm for a new bracket (or other project) to make good use of these quarantine times?

I mean, if we could motivate people to finish up the 90s FEB that'd be great... but sure, I'd be up for another bracket if that's not possible.

I rented Perfect Blue this week myself, thinking along those same line, but I somehow feel it’ll be easier to build enthusiasm for a new project than for old projects. But I also thinking any group project energy could result in all these brackets getting completed.

If there is to be a new project what will be the subject? 80s and 90s US have been done (or mostly done) as well as 90s Far East. So some suggestions:

2010s Europe
2010s Near East (near to Europe that is)
2010s Far East
2010s US

or do we go with a genre
Classic Noir (which set of years will be a matter of discussion)
Sci Fi from A Trip to the Moon to Star Wars or Star Wars and onward

or do we pick one of the "big" lists:
TSPDT
1001 Movies to see before you die
Doubling the Canon
Jennifer Eiss's 500 Essential Cult Movies

I always assumed that, if there ever was another bracket, it would be 90s Europe, but I'm open to anything really... though I think we might have to lower our ambitions or change the organization compared to the previous ones, history has shown that they are hard to finish and this is a less active forum than it used to be.

On the one hand, one of the joys of the brackets is experiencing really obscure stuff. On the other, including movies that are not available through licit means is a significant barrier to participation.

I'd be interested in '90s Europe. And I still think we need to finish the FEB. I Southold investigate my match-up.
