Movies I can remember seeing in the theater (are these lists interesting to anyone besides me? I'll probably stop after my college years):
I love tracking the development of your tastes.

I also find them enlightening. Keep doing them, I say.

The truth is they often had little to do with my tastes. For instance:

Eddie Murphy Raw - everyone from work went as a group
The Lost Boys - friends wanted to go (but I think I did too)
The Witches of Eastwick - friends wanted to go
Good Morning, Vietnam - I don't remember, I feel like I just went on a whim.

I just find it amazing that you are able to remember which movies you watched in the cinema. Except for a couple of school trips and a handful of blockbusters I am utterly unable to remember my theatre experiences before high school. And even then I would have trouble.

The IMDb year for Svankmajer's Alice is so clearly wrong (should be 1988), that I bothered to submit an update.

Godard's King Lear strangely is not in the poll. Otherwise I should be covered (will post my list later).

Updated. I'm generally only including films with a IMDb rating below 6.9 if they've been previously mentioned in this thread (e.g., Ishtar) or are on my own radar (#narcissism).

It's funny that almost all the films you've had me add have some sort of sound/music reference in their titles.
