The Vanishing is great, but it doesn't Die Hard!

Die Hard, but it's difficult not to be tempted by The Land Before Time.

is there no love out there for cinema paradiso?

I thought it was great, but as it is in the same year as Grave of the Fireflies, I can't vote for it. A Fish called Wanda and Die Hard are really tempting choices as well. I plan on watching A Short Film about Love on Sunday, and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown is a priority on the "to do" list as well (if only I could find it).
