I'll say it again... best use of "Twist and Shout" since Ferris Bueller.

But that's easy to pull off, Basil. There hasn't been any good use of Twist and Shout since Ferris Bueller.

Yeah, the little montage in the duplex.

Does TV not count? Because Full House did a nice job too.

Saw this tonight and was really unimpressed. I have a feeling Adam and Matty are going to talk about this film on the next show, but let me just say that this was very un-Fincher. And because I like Fincher, I was quite surprised at how uninspired the dialogue and pacing felt, as well as how few chances he took as a director. Gone is the auteur of Se7en, The Game and Zodiac. The movie simply drags along. The most fascinating aspect was the visual transformation of Brad Pitt, but even that was disappointing, as it was occasionally less than plausible. How long can Pitt play 40, 35, 30, 25, 20, 17, 16...before they replace him with a child actor?

I'm saying "Skip It."

But I wish the public could, in the midst of its pleasures, see how blatantly it is being spoon-fed, and ask for slightly better dreams.
