I have 3 films I could easily vote for and none of them seem to have any chance at all :(. This is all most upsetting.
Is this where we start the push for A Brighter Summer Day? Or do we think The Double Life of Veronique has a better chance?

I suspect Veronique has a better chance and plus, I think I might be able to convince that monkey to put his vote to good use with that one.

Duh, didn't notice it on the list.
Shame on you! It's only the most visually astounding film of all time.

Also, I waited to vote in this poll until I had seen it.

According to the Ratings Project, the consensus is something like this:

1. Terminator 2: Judgment Day
2. The Silence of the Lambs
3. Beauty and the Beast
4. Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse
5. Barton Fink

I should probably pit those top two together in a Death Match someday. It could be as monumental as Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves vs. Point Break.

My own list now looks more like this:

1. JFK
2. Beauty and the Beast
3. La belle noiseuse
4. My Own Private Idaho
5. No idea. I'd be guessing to choose between Boyz n the Hood, Mediterraneo, City of Hope, Let Him Have It, Grand Canyon, Hook ... all I've which I'd be hesitant to revisit. I should probably just watch new movies. Or get the Far East Bracket to its final rounds (A Brighter Summer Day, Raise the Red Lantern, Center Stage, Only Yesterday, A Scene at the Sea) ...

The only thing I can think of when I see Silence of the Lambs mentioned.
