I think I'd love how awkward it'd be, or how awkward it should be.

1. The Scent of Green Papaya
2. Three Colors: Blue
3. Wallace & Gromit in The Wrong Trousers
4. Naked
5. Sonatine

Here I'd just swap Sonatine with Farewell My Concubine.

No change.

Movies I remember seeing in the theater:

Twenty Bucks
True Romance
Indecent Proposal
Cliffhanger

Again, nothing that good. Twenty Bucks is the best of the lot, and I didn't see that until 1994. Also I feel like it's probably worse than I remember it.

I can't limit it to five:

Schindler's List
The Scent of Green Papaya
Three Colors: Blue
Groundhog Day
The Nightmare Before Christmas
The Wrong Trousers

My son was born in December of 92, and he basically screamed for his first three months of life, all day all night.  After a couple weeks, he hadn't really revved up into high gear, and my wife and I still thought, foolishly, that we could live a normal life.  So we took our infant son to see Jurassic Park with us.  He remained silent and sleeping throughout the film.

It was later that we discovered that really loud noises would keep him asleep, like blasting metal so loud so you can't hear yourself think.

Has Metal Baby evolved into Metal Young Adult? I like to imagine him shouting angrily in German for someone to pass him the salt at the dinner table while everyone else is trying to decide what kind of bender they'd like to be.

Is that your favorite Gérard Depardieu film?
