I could have gone for a number of different films, but Fellowship of the Ring had to take the crown. It's the best film of the series, and the best film of that year.

1. Memento         (I'm from America, and we didn't get it in 2000.)
2. Moulin Rouge    (The "Roxanne" Tango was the year's best scene.)
3. Black Hawk Down
4. Mulholland Dr.
5. LOTR: The Fellowship of the Rings

Probably Millennium Mambo. But All About Lily Chou-Chou, Spirited Away, Mulholland Drive and The Royal Tenenbaums are all pretty great too! I'll decide later.

*lol* That absolutely features on that shortlist too! (which reminds me I should add a song from that movie to my vacation playlist :p).

Added:

- Millennium Mambo
- Atanarjuat: The Fast Runner
- What Time Is It There?
- Rivers and Tides
- A ma soeur! (Fat Girl)

I guess, for me, it's still Mulholland Dr over Amelie, with West 47th Street, Children Underground, L.I.E., Lily Chou-Chou, Monsoon Wedding, Hedwig, and some others rounding out the top ten.  Hmm, I should really see Bungee Jumping of Their Own again.

Wait, should Band of Brothers be added?  I might have to change my vote, if so.

So difficult! In the end, I chose Mulholland Dr., but Behind the Sun, Gosford Park, Amélie, In the Bedroom, Y tu Mama Tambien and Hedwig and the Angry Inch are so great too, and I could go on and on....  You know, on some days, I imagine I could even have gone for Bridget...
