It's a tough call but David Strathairn powerhouse performance in Good Night and Good Luck swayed it for me. It was also a pretty good year as far as documentaries go with both Grizzly man and Enron being some of the better films you'll find in the genre.

Also I think I'm the only one that really loved the Weatherman...
