Thank you to Steve for sending me his list. Now, here's the thing,

1) I really wanted to have a dictator club month for animation so that people could get in some last minute viewings of some great animation. But, I was overruled last month and I think another topic has already been chosen for May. If I try to wait that means we wouldn't be able to get this thing kicking until the end of June at the earliest and even then there's no guarantee some other topic wouldn't beat out animation yet again.

2) Because of that I'm considering just going ahead with the list in May. Starting on May 1st anyone who is interested would send me their top 20 list in the same style as Steve did his, because I believe the 20 point system is the fairest. But, I'm open to what anyone has to offer about the start date, mainly because I'd like to get as many people involved as possible so we end up with a good list.

3) Those are my basic thoughts as they stand right now. Anybody who has anything to add go ahead and add away, because otherwise come May 1st I'm going to start asking for entries, hopefully we will have good participation.

Cheers,
Bill

Let's just do the MDC for animation in May as well.

That's what I would like to do, if Saltine and Skjerva are okay with it.

I would be cool with that, but Saltine and Skjerva organize the whole thing so its their call.

CINECAST!, I wanted animated this month. (I don't think it's too surprising that this has seemingly been the least populated Write Ups thread... at least since I've been here)

Update,

We got the dictator club off the ground, so, I will start officially taking ballots through PM on June 1st (Don't worry Stevekimes, I still have your so if you don't send me a new one that one will count) and ballots can be sent in until June 20th. After that I will tabulate the results and go from there, don't worry I'll officially update again near the 1st to remind everyone and everyone and anyone should post their ballots in this thread as well so we can discuss and such. So yeah, there ya go...

Two questions:

1) Are short films allowed?

2) After PM'ing you, can we post our lists in this thread or is there a different one?

1) Personally I would like to keep it do features, or since it's animation and they have a habit of making borderline features, movies at least above 45 minutes. I am open for discussion on this matter, so it's not set in stone quite yet.

2) Definitely post your lists in this thread, I am hoping to get a somewhat decent discussion going when people start posting their lists. I think this topic is easy enough to find, but if it isn't let me know and I'll rename it or create another one for list posting/discussion.
