dude get over this movie, its really not that good

after looking over all your top 5's, where is rosetta? where is naked? where is harakiri?
you guys need to add a more international scope to your show, your (the audience) missing out on alot of great stuff

finally, how about a top 5 shakespear based movies (leave Ran out plz!)
top 5 animation, (fantastic planet better be there some where!!!)
top 5 martial arts (bruce lee.... i dont think a single of his movies made any of your top 5s)

Well I think it's really their personal preferance of bottle rocket, that means that just because one person doesn't like it doesn't mean they should stop talking about (otherwise everyone would shut up about casablanca). And I don't know about rosetta or harakiri, but I remember them mentioning naked and saying they liked it, it just hasn't appeared on many top 5's. It really is a personal show for them.

I actually consider a lot of movies to be life-changing! I take them to my heart and they melt into my personality.

I think our Marathons have done a decent job of adding an international scope to the show.

And yes, I like Naked... Certainly could make a number of Top 5 lists.

I think that "you guys need to add a more international scope to your show" is the funniest thing I've heard today. Of the sixteen marathons they've done, three have been of solely foreign films, and an additional five have featured a portion of foreign films (six if you count the U.K.).

Also, Bottle Rocket is CINECAST!ing brilliant.

I have a confession to make.
I'm still trying catch up on the podcasts. So I really can't start complaining yet about what you should add or refrain from on your shows.
At the moment of this posting, I'm listening to you guys' best movies of 2006 episode.
I should be caught up by August or September. Or October. I'm a slow listener.
Well, maybe not so much a slow listener as that I have a really short attention span. Therefore, whenever I try to listen to one of you podcasts thru one sitting, something alwaHEY!!! Lookit over there! It's a half eaten head of cabbage! I bet it's still pretty good if I just peel off the outer layers......

any movie that has Owen Wilson getting punched out on a pool table trying to call Luke Wilson for help by using a "caw caw, caw caw" bird signal, while Luke is making time with the hot motel maid, is a GREAT movie.  Plus it has the best Minutemen song they ever recorded on the soundtrack.

Can't say one way or another about Bottle Rocket, because I have to admit, I've not seen it....

But I did just have to say yay to you on mentioning Fantastic Planet.
It's pretty awesome.

Eh, Bottle Rocket is nothing special and Owen Wilson sucks, it's worlds better than The Darjeeling Limited though.

Owen Wilson is great, and is an obvious talent considering his writing work on Bottle Rocket and Rushmore.
