Filmspots 2009: Eligible Films
« on: March 24, 2009, 06:09:39 PM »
I'm relying on what reviews appear in New York Times this year.  I'll add other titles, including holdovers from last year, as need be.

Updated with April 3rd releases.  It seems A. O. Scott had a really amazing week at the movies: three reviews, three critics' picks.  Tulpan sounds especially good to me, but I'm also really curious about Sugar, the new film from the directors of Half Nelson.

Updated with releases from the 10th, 17th, and 24th.

A.O. Scott makes Anvil! sound as awesome as I assume it will be.  Not sure why it wasn't a critics' pick. Maybe he used up his monthly quota the previous week.

I totally need to see Oblivion.

Updated with May 1 releases.  Of the more under-the-radar releases, I think I might be most interested in Jazz in the Diamond District.
