huh, I don't remember this kiss in the play. Do you think the West End edited it out too? :)

In case you missed it.

Thanks for the link, 1SO. These songs get a lot of play here, so it was cool to have the music combined with the visual. There is nothing more awe inspiring than live musical theatre! Someday I'll see this. :)

hell.. it was hardly a kiss..

The scene involved a brief peck during the song Beggars At The Feast. It was not in many other productions of the long-running classic. - See more at: http://news.asiaone.com/news/showbiz/les-miserables-same-sex-kiss-scene-cut-after-public-complaints#sthash.jy2fdBu1.dpuf

I saw Jersey Boys a couple weeks ago-- really enjoyed it.

Is there a iCheckMovies equivalent for theater? Or even an IMDB?

Okay gang, a question of Scruples.

Some of you may know there's a HD Bootleg of Hamilton that's been popping up on YouTube and not coming down immediately. It's the original cast, filmed from the Balcony. Some moments the camera moves away (mostly in the beginning), there are brief bits that go out of focus, occasionally the recorder pushes in for close-ups and someone has a coughing problem towards the end of Act 1. But, it's the original cast, really good quality and largely stays in a wide shot of the entire stage.

The right thing to do is not watch, but "original cast" presents a point of contention because even if you see it live on stage one day it won't be with that group. I know the final two performances with Lin-Manuel Miranda were recorded, but there are no announced plans about what will be done with the footage, or when (or even if) we might see it.

What do you do?

I'd watch it and...

Buy the music
Purchase a ticket if ever I got to go see it in NY
Buy a DVD of a performance if ever it came out.

In other words, I'd support the show, however was available to me monetarily.

Yeah. This doesn't sway me from still seeing the show live with a different cast at some point. If they put the officially filmed performances in a Movie Theater as a special event and charged $100 a ticket, I'd go with the wife.

It kills me that I will never be able to watch that show live in its original version because of dumb geographhy.
