The best movie Jason Roberts ever did - and that's according the the New York Times article than ran when he died.
Absolutely a riot - can't believe it's not out on DVD.

I actually watched this in 7th grade, about 20 years ago.  Can't remember loving it, though I was only 12.  I do remember that Jason Robards did a good job.

It was on Instant Netflix for a while but is gone now.

I've only seen it once but I thought it was pretty great.  TCM shows it sometimes, hopefully sometime in the near future.

I loved this film - used to be regularly broadcast on television, haven't seen in years.

I'll bump this up to the top, because I love this movie. Not sure who else on these boards listens to the podcasts on the Maximum Fun network, but the guy who runs that network, Jesse Thorn, did an hourlong interview maybe a year ago with Barry Gordon, who played Nick. His passion about the movie made me search it out via YouTube, and he was absolutely right. Robards is incredible, and despite feeling somewhat stagey in its presentation, I just fell for this. I wish TCM brought it back more frequently, though it is available via DVD-R on Amazon.
