I don't disagree with your choice, but I am sad to see Andre go.

Well, it is best two of three so I don't think this is settled yet.

Sandy, I love the clever way you came at this comparison. Using quail as a metaphor for My Dinner With Andre's quality is spot on. I also prefer the deli sandwich.

Wonderful write up Sandy! I always love your unique style when writing about films.

Andre is on my list on shame, so I can't say much about it, but I like When Harry Met Sally so I'm happy with the outcome. :)

While I wish you had picked Andre, that's another stellar Sandy post.

You wonderful friends! Thanks for being so great. Someday, I'm going to write an unadulterated review and surprise us all.

I wish we could all go get lunch. That pastrami sandwich is calling my name.

Excellent reviews, Sandy.  I love the comparisons you make.  And I love your choice.  When Harry Met Sally is one of my favorites of all time.

I have to be honest that although I typically love conversation films, the complicated monologues of Andre bored me and I only made it half way through, never to come back.   :-[

 :D

I forgot the best part!

Wallace and Andre's choices of espresso and amaretto don't sound like real dessert, so I'll head over to Katz's Delicatessen. I'm not big into cheesecake and I don't know what Sally is having, so I'd go with either

Rugelach

or Babka

What would you choose for dessert? :)

Amaretto is a digestif, a liqueur that aids digestion, and thus is a delicious and practical desert. Plus there is alcohol in it so really it fits into my schedule any time of day.

Very happy about your pick and hope it carries through. My earlier verdict ejecting Andre was not held up but I just wasn't interested by it at all when I tried.
