Yeah, the Siskel/Ebert state owns the right to them. That's why the show had been doing the see it/rent it/skip it thing for a while now.

I actually feel a tad sorry for Makiewicz, I always felt he was a little unfairly maligned (Lyons deserved all the criticism he got). But Phillips and Scott are still a huge upgrade over both.

Lyons was completely incompetent...and I like him on TCM

Mankiewicz's problem is that he's not a film critic.  He does great as a host on TCM, but he never has to actually criticize anything, or have any kind of opinion, there.  he should never have put himself in the position of offering weekly film criticism.

His other problem is that people around here can't spell his name correctly.
