If you start worrying about order too much, that's the end of you.

yeah, i think that's why i didn't worry about it too much in the first place.  but if i would have done the screen-shot thing beforehand there would have been a lot of re-ordering :)

Arbitrarily ranking lists is the mark of a film fanatic.

LIST LIST LIST

damn!  we share only 4 picks, but there are many that just barely missed out on mine

Likewise, you had a bunch that I didn't include for various reasons, mostly because I hadn't seen them in a long while.

I really should've had Videodrome on there.

If you start worrying about order too much, that's the end of you.

No kidding.  My top 20 is probably pretty accurate but for the rest I mostly focused on tiers (though even that is pretty flexible).  Every film I rewatched over the last few weeks was actually better than I remembered, with the exception of Raging Bull.  That and George Washington experienced the biggest drops.  I would've liked to include films like Godfather II or Before Sunrise/Sunset, but it had just been way too long since I've seen them.

I had way too much fun with the screenshots.  I liked how with certain films that happened to be placed together I ended up with shots that were unintentionally very similar (ie. Happy Together and Killer of Sheep).

I had a similar amount of fun setting up the quotes. There are two pairs of almost identical quotes somewhere in my list (hint, two of the films are made by the same people) and that was a fun little thing to do.

I really hoped that three votes for A Brighter Summer Day was going to be enough to push it into the top 100, especially seeing as they were three top 5 votes. Doesn't look like it's likely to happen.

It's also on my list at #37. But, yeah, doubtful.

Hrmmm. I remember liking your list a lot. I need to go back and revisit it.

Still, doubtful.
