Doh!!! Totally forgot about After the Wedding for my list. It would have made it! Arrrgh. And it would have added another woman director to my list.  (To make a grand total of 2.  :( )

Speaking of women directors, why didn't Harlan County, U.S.A. make our collective list?  :( :(

Good question. At one point I actually thought it had a chance. Next year!

his artsy stuff is way too experimental and inaccessible, not a fan of either.

Is this more Gerry and Last Days? Cuz Elephant and Paranoid Park are pretty accessible.

Perhaps Paranoid Park is, but Elephant?  That's one of those films that you have to be determimed to finish, as rewarding as it is in the end.  I wouldn't call it "accessible".

I can't agree with that, I was taken in by Elephant on my first viewing and loved every second of it.

You've made a huge error there OAD. After the Wedding just missed my Top 20 and I was the only vote for it. Shame!

It's one I need to watch again, it's been a while.

You read me like a book, I actually only watched Last Days and Gerry and decided I didn't care for the late stuff, so PP and Elephant are different?

i think they are all different, and LD and G more experimental than PP and E.  i think elements of all these four show up in Milk - good stuff

I totally forgot about Before Sunrise, even though I saw it like two weeks before I made my list. Then again, I'm not sure if I think it's better than Yi Yi (Which was my 101). I'll have to revisit both.
