I have only read the title of this thread, but had to jump in and mention that — while I don’t keep up with scores the way I did in middle school and high school — I have to state that my favorite score post 2000 (off the top of my head) is a The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.  It’s one of the few scores from the past 15 years that I actually own and listen to regularly.
