South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut is better than all the works of Pixar and Miyazaki combined.

Thanks so much for doing this, Bill.. with clips and everything :).

More than welcome.

It's all done,

--The text list at the top of the first post has been added.

--I went through and added videos for every movie.

--I posted the list here. But, there are a few entries where no image shows up and I can't figure out how the heck to add pictures, so if anyone wants to take care of that it is appreciated.

Either way, it's all done, it was a blast to put together and I'm really happy with the list. Looking at the other "definitive" animated lists that are out there I really do feel like ours is one of the best, if not thee best, because I always find all kinds of problems in the other lists as far as variety goes, but our list is full of variety- Disney, Pixar, Kon, Miyazaki, Takahata, Ghibli, Bluth, 80's US, anime, etc..

Thanks again to everyone for helping me make this happen, and maybe we'll do this again next year, I haven't decided yet if I want this to be an every year project or an every other year project.

Cheers,
Bill

I've seen a mere 20% of the films from 51-100, but 80% of the films from 1-50. That's 50% completion overall.

It'll be interesting to see how the list changes in the future as people watch the stuff they have yet to see.

I might make my next marathon the 10 films I've yet to see from the top 50 (much like clovis's top100 thing).

The Nightmare Before Christmas
Ratatouille
Only Yesterday
The Secret of NIMH
Mindgame
Up
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
Waltz With Bashir
The Adventures of Prince Achmed
The Emperor's New Groove

Thanks for putting that up on listofbests bill.

No problem, I get a kick out of that site and figured it would be useful as I work through completing the list myself.

There's so many films I now want to get to right away after the list, but seeing all those Miyazaki clips has me yearning to watch his films again so I've been thinking of starting a Miyazaki marathon sometime soon. :)

Oh, and I added a post about the list on my blog in an attempt to get the word out to the five or so readers of mine who aren't already members of Filmspotting.  :P

That would be cool. I still need to see The Castle of Cagliostro (or whatever it's called) and of course Ponyo.

Mine is a mere 35%. I think I'm most eager to watch the Satoshi Kon ones.

Assuming Ive probably seen the 2 Charlie Brown films (seen so many freaking animated Peanuts features that they blend) Im at 46%

33 of the top 50, 13 of bottom 50. I havent heard of about a third of the bottom 50 films.

I've seen 49% of the list, and it's almost entirely 1-50. :)

Overall a great list. Most of my favorites are represented and I won't complain too much about some of the improper rankings. ;) The top 20 is really pretty solid, except for South Park which is grievously undeserving of that company.

The ones I'm most motivated to see now are:

Perfect Blue
Only Yesterday
The Adventures Of Prince Achmed
Barefoot Gen
The Fantastic Planet
My Neighbors The Yamadas
