Were you able to update the front with all the new lists, or just the requested ones?

And mine.
I actually consider a lot of movies to be life-changing! I take them to my heart and they melt into my personality.

Your top 100 really should be your favourites. 'Best' movie lists are far less interesting.

For the most part, mine is, but some movies are soooo great that sometimes I find them sneaking in...

"Best" lists ARE interesting.  Just pretentious....

I don't see how it's just the ability to recognize that while Apocalypse Now is a better film, BttF is the most I enjoy watching most.

I don't really want to get into this argument, but why is Apocalypse Now automatically better than Back To The Future? Because it's more serious? I call shenanigans.

The End > The Power of Love?

But this is, of course, objectively wrong.

Hells naw!

Umm. My only answer to that is that the experience of watching Apocalypse Now has greater effect on me. It helps that it deals with more serious issues. It's not a case of it being automatically better, and there are nine other films on that list that rank higher. I didn't put BttF on that list as a courtesy either; I honestly believe it is one of the finest films ever made. Perfect script, perfect direction, perfect acting, perfect fun. Don't forget that I also put The Shining, Casablanca and Close Encounters on that list. All films that I would say are tons of fun to watch, and all, in my opinion, "better" films. A favourites list would actually look similar, but different. It would be based much more on which films I would be inclined to watch over and over. I am rarely inclined to watch Apocalypse Now over and over as it's a damn tough pill to swallow.

Favourites might look something like this:

1. Back to the Future
2. Close Encounters of the Third Kind
3. The Lion King
4. Rushmore
5. The Truman Show
6. True Romance
7. The Incredibles
8. Raiders of the Lost Ark
9. Casablanca
10. Amadeus

If I were to ever put together my own top 100 it would be a mix of the two types of list, with ranking leaning to either favourite or "better" depending on the films fighting it out. I can tell you that at the top of the list would likely be Apocalypse Now. BttF might be #2.
