I so very much want to participate in this(I just saw The Bad Sleep Well, top 100 material!), but every time I try to make a top 100, it becomes unbearably difficult.

Years from 1930-2000 with no films in my Top 100 (along with the film from that year I have the highest expectations for):

1933 (The Stranger's Return)
1934 (The Scarlet Empress)
1935 (Carnival in Flanders)
1937 (History Is Made at Night)
1938 (La Bete Humaine)
1944 (Torment)
1951 (A Streetcar Named Desire)
1952 (The Yellow Balloon)
1964 (Charulata)
1969 (Kes)
1973 (The Friends of Eddie Coyle)
1977 (A Special Day)
1980 (Oblomov)
1985 (Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters)
1986 (My Friend Ivan Lapshin)
1989 (A City of Sadness)
1998 (Eternity and a Day)

I should make this a marathon.
