Okay, I will be working on posting my top 100 today.  Still so many movies to see-- including 3 on my desk right now-- but you have to make a break somewhere.  However, before I post, I thought I would first produce the:

Movies whose soundtrack or score would have made them great on their own

I'm interested to see what these are :)

Here they are:
The Mission

I really want to rewatch The Mission, if for nothing else than to listen to the score.

84. Mies Vailla Menneisyytta   The Man Without A Past

This is not the only pick we have in common, but I just wanted to say that I love this film.

me too, it is also on my list :)

How many Kaurismakis you got on your list?  I got that and Drifting Clouds so far.  Ariel might find its way once I start getting down to business.

also Lights in the Dusk, maybe, but doubtfully, The Match Factory Girl; i haven't seen Drifting Clouds, and it has been forever since Ariel, or La Vie de Boheme, for that matter

I haven't seen this for over 10 years but I'm still going to say awesome.

But this is a personal list, not a list by some other standard, so I figured I just didn't care what other's thought.

Exactly how it should be.

Before Sunrise, but no Before Sunset?

I always find it interesting that some people like sunrise more than sunset because its seems like sunset is just a perfected version of sunrise with an ending that puts it way over the top.

I didn't dislike Sunset, but they aren't even really close in my mind. Sunset gets so political.
My problem exactly. Also, the best moments of Sunset are when the reminisce about what happened in Sunrise.

Insanity! But at least one made the list :D These are the only two films I REALLY want to make the final group 100.

Sunrise will definitely be in the bottom half of my top 100.
