Princess Mononoke -Corndog

???. I thought corndog voted for forrest gump.

I did! Forrest Gump is definitely my #1. Although I thought someone else did say Princess Mononoke.

ahem

Your list is pretty good.

Thanks. I bet your just happy Strangelove is on the list.

Yes, I responded physically when I saw the inclusion of Strangelove and the repeat inclusion of Elephant.

35. Harlan County, U.S.A.

How many lists has this appeared on?  Anyway, I'm psyched that it's on more than one.

67. If . . . .

I'm happy to see this on there.

Oh, yes, forgot to date that one - 1995. I so love Richard Harris and James Earl Jones in it. I haven't seen the 1951 version. Do you like it?

Yeah, it's so great! It was one of my personal discoveries of this past year. I'd just picked it up off the library shelf not knowing anything about it - it was before the Angry Young Men marathon. Such a fantastic experience going in with no expectations and then loving it so much.

I just saw it last March (thought I reviewed it, but I can't find anything).  It was pretty good (Grade: B).  The script was a little patchy, from what I remember.  Lots of rough transitions.  But it's one of those films where I was so interested in the circumstances of the production, I was going to enjoy it no matter what.  And, again, it's pretty good, even without that aspect factored in.

I should really see the 1995 version soon.  I'm a big fan of the book.

Now that I consider it, I think I do have a vague memory of your reviewing it and thinking at the time that I'd like to check it out - I'll have to do that sometime soon.

I love the book, too!

I thought I might catch some grief from on you this one. It's been years since I've seen it, and while I loved it at the time, I feel like it's a film I should really watch again before I put it on my list. We'll see what happens next year.  :)

Fair enough. I really only care about those two films making the final top 100. If I could give all my points to them I would.
