Mine are in no specific order (well, alphabetical, but no ranked order). I did this a few months ago, and am very comfortable with it:

2001: A Space Odyssey
8 1/2
Adaptation.
All the President's Men
Almost Famous
Annie Hall
Apocalypse Now
Casablanca
Citizen Kane
Close Encounters of the Third Kind
The Empire Strikes Back
Fargo
Field of Dreams
Ghostbusters
The Godfather
The Godfather Pt. II
No Country for Old Men
Ocean's Eleven
The Princess Bride
Pulp Fiction
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Return of the Jedi
The Sixth Sense
The Sound of Music
Star Wars
Synecdoche, New York

26 in common with mine.  And at least 10 more in my honorable mention.  Nice :)

'Noke, I like the love for The Usual Suspects and Leon which were criminally under-represented in August.

Cool list, Glemaud.

Agree!  Interesting to see 500 Days of Summer in such rarified air!  (I haven't seen it yet :(  )

It's quite easily the best film I've seen all year. Maybe The White Ribbon will take that crown, but at this moment, Summer has my heart.

Seeing (500) Days of Summer (a movie I liked a lot) on the same list as Irreversible and The Color of Pomegranates kind of made my head spin. Neat list.

Especially liked seeing Notorious on there, probably my favorite Hitchcock. And Barry Lyndon is your favorite Kubrick? Really?

Its not really a definitive list, more so films that I like/love. If I were to make a Top 50, SUMMER might have not made it. I'll make one tomorrow, and we'll see how that turns out.

And yes, LYNDON is easily my favorite Kubrick. Innovative lighting techniques, unheard of close up to master shots, completely enjoyable protagonist, it IS his best film.
