tiny - The Princess Bride is tripe. Glad to see it off your list. Cocteau's Beauty and the Beast is awesome, but always manages to fall of my Top 100 when all is said and done. Pity. Glad to see it on your list.

FLY - Kung Fu Hustle and King of Comedy have been accidentally reversed. They should be the other way round.

Tim - Drowning by Numbers is better than The Cook.... I thought we'd been through this before? Plus Meet Me in St. Louis is still not on the list, even though I have paid substantial bribes. For shame! Still, Out of the Blue and Tropical Malady almost make up for it.

LISTS! HIERARCHIES!

Good stuff everyone!

Great list, Tim! Seems like The Lives of Others is making a good showing this year - very cool. Also, very happy to see Tampopo, If . . . . and Paper Moon on your list - would love to see more Filmspotters on board with those. :)

Also, Lars and the Real Girl - yay!
And The Dark Crystal8), very nice.
Last, Bros. Bloom - very happy to see that there!! I was considering it for mine - I love it, but I think I need to re-watch it.

thank you for introducing me to If . . .!!!!!  :D

I agree that a lot more people should have Paper Moon on their lists. I just watched it again yesterday, and it is brilliant. It is almost like a cross between the The Lady Eve and Alice In The Cities, but just slightly better ;)

The ending of The Cook is just so satisfying though - it is much more of a ride than Drowning by numbers, and the feminist in me always cheers at the end ;)

You need to increase your bribe if you want results! (just like the conservative party offering the Tasmanian independent 1 billion dollars to try and get his support for parliament - which he rightly refused!)

It's done - for now!

My list would probably look different tomorrow, and of course there are soooo many films I meant to watch before submitting, but didn't. It's also perfectly possible that I overlooked a couple of films, but I tell myself that there is always next year :)

And wow, did I underestimate how long it takes to collect 100 screenshots! I stole and/or borrowed most of mine from you guys anway (thanks!).

Lovely list Emiliana. The love for The Archers is something we share (but no Black Narcissus or Peeping Tom?).

Plus was Wings of Desire really called Heaven over Berlin?

Thanks verbAls!

Black Narcissus is just on the wrong side of 100, and I haven't seen Peeping Tom yet. I wanted to save it until I had watched all the films in my P&P box, but I got stuck somewhere halfway through The Battle of the River Plate. (They're a Weird Mob and Ill Met by Moonlight are the other ones in the set that I haven't watched yet). I may have to forget about that and just watch Peeping Tom already.

And yes, that's what Wings of Desire is and always has been called in Germany.

Lovely list, Emiliana. Lubitsch! Cukor! Campion!
I love my screenshot of Paris, Texas, with the red, blue, green and yellow. (I don't like the Singin' in the Rain one. Donald O'Connor... ugh.)

I think one of the hosts at Battleship Pretension also had this as his #1.
