This is my first post, and I thought why not start off with a post which best shows my taste in film? The first five or so are more balanced between objective and subjective reasons. They are well made movies, but they are my top 5 because I just love to watch them so much. Past that they become very objective because I can see that these are important films that are to be considered "masterpieces". Enjoy!

This list is directly imported from my flixster page where you can see my top 75 films: http://www.flixster.com/user/lifeoffiction/movie-list/my-favorite-movies

1. Fight Club
2. Star Wars: Return of the Jedi
3. V for Vendetta
4. Jurassic Park
5. Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
6. The Godfather
7. Brazil
8. Oceans 11 (2001)
9. Monty Python and the Holy Grail
10. Goodfellas
11. Iron man (What can say? I'm a marvel fanboy)
12. The Departed
13. Walk the Line
14. American Gangster
15. The Fox and the Hound (nostalgia)
16. Stranger than Fiction
17. The Aviator
18. Modern Times
19. Gladiator
20. Reservoir Dogs
21. Dead Poet's Society
22. The Truman Show
23. Schindler's List
24. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

Welcome, lifeoffiction!  I was going to say that you and I don't have much in common... there's only a handful in your top 25 I really love, and a number that I consider to be rather dubious inclusions.  However, I clicked your link and there's a lot of promise in your 26-75.  Anyone who counts Le doulos and Sweet Smell of Success among their favorites can't be all bad.

lifeoffiction- great top 75 and nice descriptions. I use Flixster on the iphone but hadn't even looked at their site, nicely presented.

Generally your choices show that you should feel right at home on this forum, look forward to your future posts.

Trying to think of a way to put a list like this together is overwhelming. May give it a try though.
