Cool contemporary list, Shorty06.

Didn't see Sympathy For Lady Vengeance (personal favourite) or Joint Security Area in your Park Chan-wook lovefest. Both are great. Do you have an opinion on these two?

@verbALs

Thx, JSA and Lady Vengeance were awesome, they didn't make the cut though. 100 is such a small number ^^

I have this fantastic database called Bento, that forces you, sometimes, to (over)rank its subjects. I have tried as much as possible to order those films I have reviewed in the past year (call me Sisyphus). I also added the rankings from the last Filmspotting Top 100 poll, which is why I am posting here. The following two lists are my top 10 underrated and overrated films from that list compared with my own rankings. I have to say the overrated (By FSpotters) list is spookily close to my own feelings on the subject. So I thought it would be valid to post it- with apologies to peoples' obvious affection for some of these films.

(Position in the larger FSpotting poll- in brackets).

Underrated Films {Usually means somebody voted for them, but not many people}

Redbelt (1,360)
Stray Dog   (1,387)
Night and the City (1,161)
Amores Perros (1,220)
Happy-Go-Lucky (1,288) {Perhaps too new a film to be included- the next film in the list is Tie Me Up, Tie Me Down)
Downfall (1,093)
My Man Godfrey (1,156)
To Live And Die In L.A. (1,017)
Stolen Kisses (1,010)
I Know Where I'm Going (1,122)

Overrated- {One man versus the world}  8)

Chungking Express (41)
A Bout de Souffle (101)
In the Mood for Love (44)
The Night Of The Hunter (91) - {I know}
Paths of Glory (140) - {No really, I know}
Morvern Callar (164)
Witness for the Prosecution   (265)
Inception (179)
Charade (188)
The Big Sleep (301)

I am thankful I live too far away for anyone to pay me a little visit over this.

Awesome.
I actually consider a lot of movies to be life-changing! I take them to my heart and they melt into my personality.

Thanks for all the support for my top 75! I updated it to a 101 list if anyone is interested. Also I recently saw "Chinatown" and loved it so much I put it at #19. http://www.flixster.com/user/lifeoffiction/movie-list/my-favorite-movies
