pix, I'm not scoring too well with you!  Only one higher than a B?  Although you imply at the end there's others you like.

Our tastes seem pretty different yet similar at the same time. Going through your list, I noticed quite a few times where my list included a film related to one on your list: you have Aguirre, I have Fitzcarraldo; you have Blue, I have Red; you have Jules and Jim, I have The 400 Blows; you have The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, I have Once Upon a Time in the West.

But I don't see his filmography as one massive work... maybe a series of medium-sized works.

fair enough. The Apu trilogy definately is its own thing, as is the Music Room. I guess it is really just Charluata and Manahangar then  :)
I suppose Ive also seen The Chess Players which was good but probably not list worthy.

The problem remains for Ozu, who I am much more familiar with.

I read through your 250 list earlier today. It even reminded me of a few that I still need to consider.

I like your loyalty towards Bergman (5 titles), Ray (5 titles) and Tsai (4 titles). They combine to make up 1/2 of your Top 10.

This will most likely be my ballot for 2012, none of these films have ever made a filmspotter top 100. Love all the crossover with my list, toro!  If I count correctly, that's 34 from my own top 250, and many more that I really, really like.  Very few that I'm lukewarm on.

Especially love seeing Who's Camus Anyway on there, almost makes me wish I'd found a spot for it in my 100.

Haven't seen:
19.    Buffalo '66 (1998)
56.    A Separation (2011)
66.    I'm Not There (2007)
71.    Rachel Getting Married (2008)
73.    Trust (1990)
93.    Kings and Queen (2004)

Just as a sideline, I love the idea of submitting a ballot of 100 Best films that never made a Filmspotting Top 100 before.
