 :o Have you retired Days of Heaven from your list, or just renounced it?

He Vishnevetsky'ed it.   ::)

I can see how this is fun for a lark, and makes a statement about lists or whatever, but I find it much more interesting when someone really puts some thought into it and makes some tough decisions.

Having said that, though, I love a ton of stuff on that list.

I'd do it, too, if it got me verb-ified.

There would probably be nothing different than the May one, so I thought about just having fun with this one and seeing how things shook out. I think I'll probably end up just doing one a year now as I don't see my list changing too drastically every six months like it has for the past couple of years.

32. The Gods Must Be Crazy (1981)

An interesting placement. It is a fun film, but that high? What is it that rises this so high?

7. My Left Foot
16. Apocalypse Now

Lovely to see these

20. Caddy shack!!!
Is this based on a recent viewing or fond memories?

Part of it is probably that it was one of the first films I ever saw. But part of it is its bright enthusiasm about life, and also how it makes me look at the seriously over-complicated "civilized" world.

Dave,

 Regarding Caddyshack... I watch this movie every Spring to get primed for the golf season, even though I don't play nearly enough to maintain this annual ritual.
 Farr from a great film...it is a go to film for a laugh in our house.
