This is the list I submitted in August.  In the top 15, would only make one change which is to move Linda Linda Linda up one spot.  The rest of the rankings was done while rushing in order to get my list in before the deadline.....I see major oversights (Quince, d'Orouet, Like Father, Come Rain, for example, being much lower than where I would've put them had I been drunk and started much earlier.

At this point, I think I would have a mental breakdown if I saw a new film and it became my #1.

It's a pretty good list. I've seen 18 and would like to see many more. I'm going to make an effort to get to Distant Voices, Still Lives this year.

What can you tell me about the Byun trilogy?

Essential viewing.  Not only because of the subject (WW2 sex slavery), but because of the director-spectator-subject dynamic that evolved with each film to the point where one of the women takes over one of the director's roles.
