Once: City Lights, High and Low, The Innocents, Lucky Star

Twice: The Night of the Hunter, The Long Day Closes, Inside Out, The Young Girls of Rochefort, Inside Llewyn Davis, Girl Walk//All Day, The Red Shoes, Fanny and Alexander (once for each cut, but I'll be rewatching soon)

Which leaves 8 with 3+ viewings.

I've probably already seen about 75% of these and quite a few are my favourites.  Mike Leigh is a blind spot for me, I have only seen Another Year which I really liked so will go with Topsy Turvy for sure.

I have seen 65% of the Top 100 and 58% of the total potential candidates list. There is an overlap of two movies between our Top 10s and 12 between our Top 100s ; but a lot of your other ones are candidates for my list. Maybe after rewatches.

There is a number on your list I want to watch but I will come back to that next month.

Just curious... How many films in your top 20 have you seen just once? Just twice?

I am so glad no one asked me this.

Thanks! I'm probably happiest with my top 20 than I have ever been, which I guess makes sense. I don't foresee many of those dropping easily.

I't a pretty solid Top 20. I have watched fourteen and 5 are great, or at least very good. The rest are all good to very good too, except The Shining, which I don't like, and Llewyn Davis, which I do, but is maybe a little too cold for me to place it quite as high. It will be great to see Hail Caesar! find its way somewhere.

I have a rough ranking of my Essentials, the 629 features and shorts I've rated * * * 1/2 or greater. Someday, when there are no more cinematic worlds I wish to conquer, I would like to re-watch the entire list to solidify the rankings and make the list Public.

I am now within 25 films of completing this task.
The complete list contains 545 titles.

I'm excited. Did you really rewatch that many since January? I know you've rewatched a lot but it didn't seem like 600.

Not the entire list, just the ones I haven't seen in a few years. None of my Top 100. I didn't keep track of the total count but considering how long it has taken I'd say between 300-400 re-watches.

My 28 Essential Short Films.

Only 16 of them are animated. Only 7 are from Disney or Pixar.

Total Running Time: 526 minutes

In my top ten that I listed a couple years ago, we have a couple overlaps.

A top 25 would be fun.  Dr. Horrible would certainly make that cut.  Frankly, if I had thought of it as a "short" then it would have made my top 10.  Piper would certainly make my top 25 today.

Only one Looney Tunes? Seems pretty low to me. I'd put a lot of them above Pixar shorts.

Duck Amuck is my 2nd favorite Looney Tune. I never got what was so great about One Froggy Evening. Never cared for Road Runner, Sylvester & Tweety or the many ones about hunting. Robin Hood Daffy might be my next favorite, but now we're in the territory of Red Hot Riding Hood, The Bear Who Wasn't, the Winnie the Pooh shorts, Rikki Tikki Tavi, Paperman, Three Little Pigs some of Don Hertzfeldt.
