Went to my first Hollywood party (I'm interning at a talent agency and one of the actors had a birthday).

Normally this wouldn't be too exciting, but I have a stutter and some social anxiety issues that I'm trying to overcome--so I forced myself to go even though I knew hardly anyone. Turned out to be a lot of fun. Life's getting interesting.

Best moment: a girl asking me "What's your favorite David Lynch film?" Just about fell in love.

Until she revealed herself as his daughter by trying to put you in a box? (But better she than your anxiety, no?)

Haha, a homeless man snuck up on me a few seconds later and I just collapsed in fear.

Actually David Lynch.

Signed up for a movie club.  My first meet will be Thursday night, a locally-produced doc about online poker.  This is the first social-ish thing I've done in ages.

Good for you! And that sounds fun. I've been hoping something like that would turn up around here for me. How often does the club meet? And how are movies decided on?

Seems like they do 2-3 events a week.  I think the organizer decides based on what's showing around town.

Walked away, somehow, from a pretty horrific car wreck. Extra grateful to be alive today.
