Just a little preface for this post: I'm a big fan of the podcast and I actually registered just so I could post my adoration for this movie. I haven't heard it mentioned on the podcast, but it is definitely one my favorites.

If you are wondering what the hell I'm talking about, go here:

Harvey Keitel puts on a wonderful performance here. It's so over the top, it's hard whether to know if you should be laughing or shaking your head at some parts. I also like how the underlying theme of the movie is redemption, as the Keitel character struggles to achieve it.  Lastly, if you're a stickler for cop movies like I am, this definitely offers a twist on the genre.

RENT IT!

The scene where he pulls over those two girls in the car sticks out in my mind for some reason.

What makes it even more disturbing is the way he balances it all with this suburban family life.
