What are some good examples of 60s counterculture in film? So far I have Easy Rider, Bonnie & Clyde, If...., and American Graffitti? Thoughts?

This. But if we're being specific, Five Easy Pieces is good, but go..watch...Midnight Cowboy. Seriously, I loved it.
I actually consider a lot of movies to be life-changing! I take them to my heart and they melt into my personality.

I wonder what would happen if we showed Star Wars to a person who never heard of it. Like they had no cultural knowledge of the film. I wonder.

Like those Whopper Virgins commercials?

Clovis, did you watch the LOTR movies yet and I just missed your comments?

I watched the first one and really liked it. I will watch the rest when I get back into the country later this week.

I saw the non-3D Avatar. Do I need to go back and see the 3D version?

I'd say if you didn't like it, the 3D version probably won't change your mind.  But if you plan to see it again, then you should definitely experience it in 3D.  It does add a lot to the atmosphere.

Diane Keaton's latter performances are making me hate her ealier ones.  I almost hate to revist the Godfather after having seen Somethings Gotta Give

oh and the music to Baby Boom is a rip off of St Elmo's Fire

I blame it on Nancy Meyers. She has a nack for taking otherwise talented, likeable actors and making them look like chumps:

Something's Gotta Give — Diane Keaton, Jack Nicholson
The Holiday — Kate Winslet, Jude Law
It's Complicated — Meryl Streep, Jack Donaghy

You can spot a Nancy Meyers movie from forty paces. The trailer will contain these: Older actresses who flip their hair in a fit of schoolgirl giggling. Older actors who serve as set dressing. Wardrobe from a J. Crew or Ralph Lauren winter catalog. Frosty windows. Upbeat-yet-basso announcer voice. A smile or inhuman grin in every single shot.
