Enlightened really is as great as OAD says it is, especially the second season for me.  Getting to know the characters in the first season was great and very worthwhile viewing, but to see where they go in the second season is even better.
Yep, same for me - loved the first season, but the second season is where I fell head over heels.

I have refrained from watching film because I've been catching up on TV shows.  I've been watching Buffy with my daughters, Bones with my wife and House of Cards on my own.  It eats up all my extra time, even though I have Hero and other Watchlist films I must catch up with.  Maybe after one more episode of Buffy...

I have been watching Angel with my wife and The Rockford Files on my own, an hour TV show is just so much easier to find time for.

I seem to only be attractive to/attracted by girls with extreme daddy issues. It's not like I mean to. I find out way later in a date. How do I break out of this cycle?

Why break the cycle? Daddy issues are hot.

I have no appreciation for the comedy of Louie C.K..  I've been watching Louie on Netflix streaming and honestly I find it neither engaging nor particularly relevant.

Have you seen any of his stand-up?

Also, what do you mean by "relevant"? To your life? I'm not a middle-aged comedian raising kids in NYC, so I also don't find the show "relevant" to me on a base level. But I'm also not a New Jersey gangster, a science-teacher-cum-meth-dealer, nor the diminutive black sheep of a plotting and powerful royal family. Yet and still, I recognize a broader relevance in these series via the deeper truths buried within.

I'm not on the Louis C.K. bandwagon either. He's had funny moments but usually I just get bored during his stand-up stuff.
