Kid A is pretty great, probably their second or third best, but I dislike In Rainbows.

Why is this?
I actually consider a lot of movies to be life-changing! I take them to my heart and they melt into my personality.

Jonny Greenwood and Thom Yorke are such a great writing duo. I have spent an entire lecture analysing Jonny's contribution to the music world - from a music technology perspective. He doesn't shy away from experimentation, and programs some of his sound designs from scratch. He also commissioned the French Connection a slide keyboard based on the Ondes Martenot.

I chose In Rainbows

On a semi-related note, I've heard two female acoustic covers of 'Creep' recently that blew my socks off. The girls were fantastic but that song is just note-perfect.

On another semi-related note I had to leave Barnes & Noble yesterday, yeah I went two days in a row, as soon as I heard some terrible muzak sounding cover of Kid A. There are certain things my ears refuse to put up with.

Probably The Bends.  Give me a month to decide for sure.

It will always be OK Computer for me because the first time I heard it was a real seminal point in my life.

That's the same reason I picked it.  It was for me a moment in my life as a 16 year old wanting something that was very different in the wake of the fallout of grunge rock and something that would speak to me emotionally.  It's my 2nd favorite album of all-time.

I still need to listen to Kid A and Hail To The Thief before I make a decision.

The Bends gets it for me, just ahead of Kid A.
