And FLY, the reptile thing isn't that noticeable in the city. Even when I was in the less-populated border region in the west, I never saw a snake. Now, if you're an outdoors person, and you like to camp n stuff, it's definitely dicey. I have a buddy that almost stepped on a Gila Monster. No bueno, sir.

Too many snakes. I'll see one every so often in NJ, and we definitely have them, but it's mostly avoidable. Not sure I'd fare well in a climate that's more suitable to reptiles without living in more constant fear than normal.

I have to say it again, FLY is right,

Been out here 18 years now and I have seen exactly 2 rattlesnakes. One alive, one dead.
The snake thing is way overrated and yes I do get out and hike.

That being said - I agree about NOT having DST is a pain when trying to figure out time differences.
