No, I agree, it would be much easier to keep them together and to not have to deal with whether a performance is supporting or lead. It will make life a lot easier. But I think afterwards it would be nicer to have the two different lists. That's all I'm saying.

I'm just putting it out there.  I have a feeling my reasoning won't have much support.

I think we should settle down and see what everyone else thinks.

Yep need both lead and supporting included. Not being able to nominate Ralph Fiennes' Amon Goeth would upset me.
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others.

So the poll is going to be performances? If it is I have to agree lead and supporting together, the defining of lead is too hard (eg 16 minutes of screen time is not a lead performance, but won a lead Oscar).
Now is the list to be top 100 male, top 100 female or top 100 male and female. As there are not as many good roles for women separate lists would be better.

Include both lead and supporting performances.
-Le Chiffre: You changed your shirt, Mr Bond. I hope our little game isn't causing you to perspire.

-James Bond: A little. But I won't consider myself to be in trouble until I start weeping blood.

Hey guys, We're over here now.

(eg 16 minutes of screen time is not a lead performance, but won a lead Oscar).
When did this happen?

Hopkins, silence of the lambs.

you wonder what Casey Affleck thinks after being in roughly 2 hours of TAOJJBTCRF and getting nominated as supporting.

the Oscar model is horrible, lets break away from it. Throw everyone into the same rankings.

The lists can be any length from one male performance to two top twenty lists for both male and female.

Just remember to rank them and all that.
