What's the ruling on same character, same actor, different movie (ie Julie Delpy as Celine in Before Sunrise/Before Sunset)? I'm assuming two separate votes, but just wanted to make sure.
Yeah, I think separate movies count as separate performances.

Yep, they do.
I actually consider a lot of movies to be life-changing! I take them to my heart and they melt into my personality.

Also, to help you with your lists, Verite has started a couple of threads with the best performances of each decade over here.

Is anyone finding those threads helpful?  If not, it's best to reduce clutter or whatever by me not posting new ones for the 40s and earlier.  It's just that I was anticipating more participation when I started them.  We could just copy and paste all of them into one FYC thread or have a mod combine the threads.

They are great for jogging my memory. I should contribute some suggestions of my own.

Alright,

The lists can include any performance in a movie. Lead, supporting, doesn't matter. We're going to split it into two 50 place lists, one female, one male. The lists can be any length from one male performance to two top twenty lists for both male and female.

The scoring system is going to be a mix of the Director and top films scoring system. #20 will get ten points. #19 will get 11. etc, etc. But every five places there'll be and extra jump of one place, so say #16 will get 14 points, but #15 will get 16 points. And so on.

The deadline for entries is Mon Jan. 11th, with the results announced that weekend, hopefully.

Please PM me your lists or email them to filmspottersperformances09@gmail.com.

And if you have any objections with any of this, just tell me.

Also, to help you with your lists, Verite has started a couple of threads with the best performances of each decade over here.

Is there any particular way you would like the list sent to you (eg in excel, actor/film/year ?)?

Just try and have it look like

1. Robert De Niro, Raging Bull
2. Al Pacino, Godfather
3. Daniel Day Lewis, There Will Be Blood

and so on and so forth.
